Shauna Roberts grew up in Beavercreek, Ohio, and started writing stories in elementary school. Her love of reading was fostered by her father, who took her to the library weekly, and by her aunt, who was a librarian and author of one hundred twenty romance novels.
After a career as an award-winning science and medical writer and editor, she retired and wrote fiction: science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, and romance. Dr. Roberts’s publications number more than a thousand and include magazine articles, journal articles, newsletters, essays, flash fiction, short stories, novellas, and novels.
She is a 2009 graduate of the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop.
She won a 2014 National Readers Choice Award, a 2015 Romancing the Novel Published Author Award, and the 2011 Speculative Literature Foundation’s Older Writers Grant.
She lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains with two ragdoll cats and her husband of thirty-seven years.
